5 S’s- Service- 12th Grade

Our hope for our oldest proteges is that they will be marked by an attitude and posture of humility and service. Remind your protege of Christ s humility and model how we follow in his example. As your protege is the oldest in the school, possibly enjoying academic or athletic success, etc.; it can be easy to become prideful or feel entitled. Help your protege see that we serve Christ with everything we have– our gifts and talents, our time, our positions of leadership, etc.

–Ask your protege identify people he or she knows in need of mercy (family members, friends, neighbors, etc.) and think about specific ways he or she may serve them — hold your protege accountable for following through

–If your protege is attending your church or a church in South Dallas, encourage him or her to serve within the body of believers consistently
